Originating over three millennia ago in the Indian sub-continent including Sri Lanka, Ayurveda - the science of life, emphasises a balanced approach to health. Our restaurant is a homage to this ancient wisdom, blending the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition with the vibrant flavours of Sri Lankan and Indian culinary delights.

Embodying the proverb, "When the diet is correct, medicine is of no need," our culinary creations focus on organic, sustainably sourced ingredients with minimal use of meat.
Rasa (taste) is a fundamental concept in Ayurveda. It encompasses a total sensory experience involving the nose, tongue, and throat, based on six types of tastes (sad rasas).: madhura (sweet), amla (sour), lavana (salty), katu (pungent), tikta (bitter), and kasaya (astringent). Our menu is meticulously crafted to balance these six tastes, promoting homeostasis and overall health. As stated in the Susruta Samhita, our diet, controlled by these six rasas, profoundly affects our strength, complexion, immunity, and mental state.
